VANILLA BUNDT CAKE

Happy 75th Anniversary to Nordic Ware!!!  I was so excited to use the Braided Bundt pan!!  Celebrating the maker of my favorite bundt pans with this delicious Vanilla Bundt Cake!!  What a way to end BUNDT CAKE month!!

Some people wants to go to New York City, some people wants to go to Los Angeles, but do you know where I want to go??  Minneapolis!!  And what, you might ask, is in Minneapolis??  It’s the Nordic Ware Factory Store!!  Oh, It’s at the top of the list as one of my places-to-go and I would love to just do the tour.  I think it would be so dreamy and so wonderful to be able to visit the place that makes all my favorite bundt pans!

The reason why I want to go the store is, besides shopping ?, I also want to take the tour.  I would love to learn about the history and how they make the pans.  It’s amazing that the Nordic Ware legacy started in 1946 and still flourishing 75 years later.  It started with the couple Dave and Dotty Dalquist who has Scandinavian heritage in their blood. I am so grateful for them for starting this company so that people all over the world can enjoy baking with their pans!

I’ve been building up my bundt pan collections for a few years now and I am slowly and surely adding one pan at a time.  There was a post on facebook that shows someone’s collection that fills up a whole room!!  I was oooh-ing and aaaah-ing so much!  It was beautiful!!  So far, I’ve only filled half a cabinet, but slowly and surely, I will keep on building my collection of Nordic Ware Pans!!

Besides the bundt pans, Nordic Ware also has a myriad of products.  Even cooking products.  One of these days, I need to try out the cooking ware too.  But so far, my finger always goes to the bakeware section of the website!!

There are so many reasons why I love Nordic Ware pans.  They have great and unique designs.  In my post for the White Chocolate Raspberry Bundt Pan , I said that the Brilliance pan is one of my favorite pan.  But this 75th anniversary Braided Bundt Pan, is actually now the top of the list!! They also have seasonal pans, like Halloween, Christmas, Spring and Fall.  And don’t forget to check out the Party time and Frozen section!!  So many options!!

I can keep on writing about Nordic Ware pans but let’s get back to the most important thing!  The bake!!  Let’s start make this Vanilla Bundt Cake with the beautiful Braided Bundt Pan!

As usual, mix together the butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy.  It usually takes about 3-5 minutes.

Then add in the eggs one by one and mix.  I also scrape the sides to make sure that you won’t have streaks of butter in the batter.

Add in the vanilla extract and mix again.

Then add in the flour and milk alternatively.

Spoon the mixture into the prepared bundt pan.  Remember to smooth and tap tap tap the pan so that air bubbles will be popped!

I think I have a new favorite pan!!!  I haven’t tried garnishing it with anything because I want to bask in the beauty of the design.   I don’t even want to use powdered sugar on top!!

So once again, Happy 75th Anniversary to Nordic Ware!!!  I can’t wait for many more beautiful bundt pans to come!!

Happy Baking!
