WALNUT TART

Walnut tart!!! The Buttery crust and walnut fillings is just delicious way to fill the 10th day of 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS PIES AND TARTS!!

To make Walnut tart!!!

It’s really as simple as 1-2-3.  Phase one is making the crust.  Mix the butter, sugar and egg yolk, then add the flour gradually.   It will be crumbly and not like the soft all-butter crust.  Press it into the tart pan and bake for 12 minutes.

Phase 2 is to make the filling.  So easy and look how beautiful the color is!  Then pour it into the nuts that in the crust.  Make sure to roast your nuts!!  Every time you do any baking, toasting your nuts is a simple step that is really necessary.  If I don’t toast my nuts, it taste like biting bitter nuts.  Toasting it makes it really draw out its natural oils and makes it delicious!

And phase 3 is to bake it again and here you go!!  A delicious Walnut tart!!  What a great tart to share with your family and friends!

Happy Baking!!
