Brownies and Bars

BLONDIES

Most everyone has heard of brownies, but have you heard of brownies’s other friend, Blondies?  If you haven’t, you are in for a treat!  Blondies is so rich, so pretty and so easy to whip up!  It’s a great beginner baker’s recipe and it’s also fast to make, in case you have company coming.  And the bonus?  It uses most of the ingredients that you already have in your pantry and fridge!  No need to make an extra trip to the store!

Look at that beautiful batter.  Oh by the way, this recipe calls for you to grease and flour the pan.  It’s an extra step but it safe you the pain of having a stuck-on batter.    Really, trust me on this.  After 25 minutes, you get to enjoy this dessert!  Well, actually, add 5 more minutes for cooling time.  🙂

After it cools, you pop it out of the pan, cut it into squares and enjoy!  Or if you want, you can even cut it into diamonds or diagonally.  Whatever you like.  Mmmm…mmm..mmmm……

Tips for making this blondies :

 * The first time I made this recipe, I used a glass baking pan like this.

It still works but the middle part kind of sunk in a little bit.  Taste is the same but it’s not very pretty.  Now, I use the non-stick pan that’s made of heavy-gauge aluminized steel.  It gives a nice and even surface that is very presentable.

  • Before taking the brownies out of the pan,  loosens out the sides using a butter knife.  Even though it was greased and floured, it will stick a little bit.

Happy Baking!
